Been thinking about red, white and blue things. Both for my folks for the 4th of July and for my daughter’s friend who is moving to France in a couple of weeks. Did some dishcloths/table mats with the Lily Sugar n Cream cotton. They look great. I would love to buy all the colours and multicolours from them and make batches for everyone. Also making an envelope clutch bag so that she can take her friends addresses. Activity Village has a great video about folding paper into a small booklet but I still had to watch three times before I figured it out! Yesterday I made a square using a new technique where the pattern leaves 10ch at each corner and then links them and anchors with the final round. Will photograph the square even if I’m not sure what to do with it yet.
Cable panel on superchunky sleeves started. Maybe one more evening to finish the first sleeve. Not too complicated – just have to pay attention to 10 stitches of panel, esp on right side rows. Concerned that the whole thing will be pilling and look worn quickly. Ok for a comfy round-the-house cardie.
Still thinking about what to do with my 20 colours. Looked at Rowan website and tried a knitted square from Martin Storey knit-a-long. Easy enough and knitting the squares should ensure they match in size. Drawback that they expect 6 squares a week! Will check colours for week 2 and decide.
Also fancy a yarnbomb. Will start scouting for ideas. Watch your space.
